One who guards himself from thoughts of idolatry merits trust each time anew, until he does not worry about what he will eat tomorrow. He is on the level of "Blessed is Hashem, day by day" (Psalms 68:20).
Through this, Hashem "has not beheld iniquity nor seen wrongdoing" in him (Numbers 23:21), and whoever touches him is as one who touches the apple of His eye.
